For all those times I stayed home when everyone was calling me to come out so I can wake up and run. To those nights when I ran through dark parks and streets, to the mornings I couldn't get out of bed and was so sore and barely able to stand let alone get dressed for work. It all comes down to this!! Thank you everyone for your support! Tomorrow is a 26.2 mile block party!! Come Out and Let's Celebrate Together!!!

On a cold March morning 3 years ago, I walked into a doctors office in Richmond Hill, NY with my dad and the doctor read off the results on a CT Scan that my dad did just 48 hours prior. I am sorry but you need to go see a Pulmonologist  as all signs are pointing to Lung Cancer said Dr. Singh to us. These are the words that no one ever wants to hear. The word Cancer to me just was Death Sentence.

A week later we went to Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and that is where our feeling of dread turned into optimism. The doctors and nurses at MSKCC assured us that everything is going to be fine and that we will battle this disease and win. My dad has battled Small Cell and Non Small Cell Lung Cancer for the last 3 years and continues to fight on and be strong. From dozens of rounds of chemo and radiation and having a partial section of his lung removed he continues to fight and not give up.

As a way for me to cope I took up running and what started as an after work activity turned into a strong passion and for the first time I am going to run a full marathon. That is 26.2 miles and I am running for Fred's Team which is the athletic branch of MSKCC charities. My goal is to raise $3,500 and I am asking for your support!

I created this site in 2009 to highlight my on air work and hope that more of it will happen and my dreams of being a TV star would happen. Sure I have quite a few successes and tons of failures but I keep this site going for the simple reason that it inspires me to be creative and keep that passion going. I guess you have to be artistic to understand, I use the word artistic not as some painter or singer/songwriter but one who is creative and is drawn away in their own mind of endless thoughts and actions. We choose to live the dream while others choose to live the life. Maybe that is why I can relate so well to movies like "Vanilla Sky", "Inception" and "Requiem for a Dream". 

Regrets? I've had a few but everything happens for a reason and everything is in its right place.  Whitman once said,  "That the powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse.” I guess says it all for our existence. Put the worries away and just breathe.
